I am certified both as a family nurse practitioner (through Idaho State University) and as a psychiatric nurse practitioner (through Johns Hopkins University). After working as an RN, I became certified as a family nurse practitioner in 2009. In 2010 I started doing psychiatric medication management initially under the direction of a psychiatrist, while continuing to work part-time in urgent care/family practice. Due to my interest in psychiatric care, I decided to further my education and was certified as a psychiatric nurse practitioner. Since 2017 my practice has been focused solely on mental health care, but I feel my experience as a family nurse practitioner informs my mental health practice.
One of the most enjoyable aspects of my job is to be able to interact with and offer help to people. It has been very rewarding to me, and I think the patients I have treated realize that I am their advocate and care about their wellbeing. I am very committed to helping patients receive the best possible outcome. I am passionate about what I do and thrilled about having my own practice in beautiful Bown Crossing.
